AVEVA™ Historian and Historian Client
Course Description
Klinkmann organizes a 3-day basic training course on Historian software. During this course, participants will learn about database usage in automation and the key features of the Historian software. The training includes an introduction to data collection configuration and the use of Historian client programs.
The goal of the Wonderware Historian training is to provide fundamental knowledge and skills in using Historian Server for data collection applications, and to ensure the correct and optimal use of Historian Server in various environments.
The training is recommended for all individuals responsible for process data collection/analysis.

Training Day 1:
• Introduction to the Historian database and its features.
• Configuring data collection from InTouch applications and familiarization with the Historian Console.
• Retrieving data from the Historian database, database queries, and data retrieval methods in Historian.
Training Day 2:
• Review of data retrieval and configuration.
• Manual data collection.
• Summary variables and replication.
• Configuring event-based operations for the Wonderware Historian server, Event system.
Training Day 3:
• Historian Client programs – Trend, Query, and Workbook.
Hardware Requirements: None
Software Requirements: The training will be conducted on a pre-built Skytap cloud service computer, which can be accessed with a web browser.
